We coordinate all aspects for port calls, from booking berth allocations and services ahead of vessels arrival to finalizing the D/A, and all documentation and paper work.

Our long existing experience and relations with port authorities, port operators and services providers ensure the shortest and most cost effective port calls.

Our Services

Shipping Agency Services to shipping lines through our experienced and dedicated personnel with extensive knowledge of the overall import and export needs in Lebanon.

METCO provides as well for that purpose documentation services to issue BLs and Delivery Orders, send notices of arrivals, and apply shipping line procedures.

Port Agency Services for container, break bulk, tankers, platform supply vessels (PSVs) and RORO vessels.

METCO can arrange prompt delivery of fresh water, mail and cash to master and attend to any needs of the master and the crew.

Sales and Commercial Services through an experienced sales force who can always provide valuable market studies and statistics, sales leads and excellent market exposure and promotion for its shipping agency.

Ship Chandler for delivery of complete range of fresh, frozen and dry provisions while ensuring correct balance between price and quality.

Using our vast experience in supplying for crews from differing nationalities, we arrange for special products to satisfy crews’ desires whatever they may be.

Delivery and supply of technical spare parts, marine and offshore equipment in top quality with necessary certifications.

Stevedore Services provided by our experienced team include loading, stowage, lashing and securing cargo on board vessels as well as supervising and arranging offloading operations for bulk, breakbulk and RORO vessels via vessel gears or via onshore mobile port cranes and equipment.

Our services also include cargo planning and control, project estimates, supercargo assistance, lashing and securing. We never compromise on safety and quality.

Management

BERNARD GERDY

 CHAIRMAN& CEO

Mr. Gerdy worked in the banking sector from 1983 till 1989 where he held different management responsibilities in the exchange and treasury departments. In 1989 he joined CMA-CGM as Treasurer then from 1997 till 2015 he becomes CEO of Merit Corporation, the mother company of CMA-CGM. He also occupied the position of General Manager of operational subsidiaries of CMA-CGM Group in Lebanon, Syria and the Middle-East. He chaired the board of Lattakia International Container Terminal and sat on the board of Compagnie du Ponant Marseille, Souria Holding and Fransabank Algeria.

Bernard Gerdy holds a Master in Business Administration from the Lebanese University and a DESS Finance from InstitutSupérieurd’EtudesFinancières et d’Ingénierie University of Aix-Marseille III.

JOHN DAGHER

GENERAL MANAGER

Mr. Dagher has over seventeen years of experience in transportation and logistics. From 1998 till 2002, he was director of purchase and logistics in Toto Construzioni Generali, one of the largest road and rail infrastructure construction companies in Italy.

He occupied the position of Executive director at Land Transport International, Lebanon (sister company to CMA-CGM third shipping company worldwide) from 2002 till 2007 and the position of Director of Operations at UASC in Dubai from 2007 till 2009 first shipping group in the Middle East.

John Dagher holds a BA in Business from the University of Como Italy.

REBECCA MUNTHER

AGENCY Manager

Ms. Munther has over 10 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry especially in air and sea freight operations.

She started her career with Ultra Maritime Services where she held the position of forwarding and operations executive.

In May 2009, she joined Airlink Lebanon and became a sales support leader till July 2013. In September 2013, she joined Gezairi Group as Head of Sea Transport department and progressed to become Air and Sea Freight Operations Manager till October 2018.

MAROUN ABRINI

Operations Manager

Mr. Abrini has over 10 years of experience in stevedoring and ship agency services.

He oversees the loading, stowage, lashing and securing of cargo on board vessels, and supervises our ongoing marine terminal and vessel operations.
